



Oro del Desierto is a family-owned and operated business placed in Tabernas (Almeria). If you combine the climate conditions, with more than 3000 sunshine hours/year and without extreme thermal changes and the extra care we take in the whole process: cold pressing within eight hours after harvesting the fruit (by hand), the result is our 100% Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil with all its delicate characteristics and nuances of flavour. The highest quality and consistency has always been an important concept to our family and after eight years we are really proud because our quality is being worldwide recognized and awarded.

Our Milling and Bottling plant is integrated in a Old Olive Oil Mill from 1920’s restored and turned into restaurant, museum and Deli shop where visitors may delight with a spot of regional gastronomy of Andalusia and where Olives and Olive Oil are main course. The old mill operated till 1960’s and after that was abandoned. Rafael Alonso bought the building in the late 90’s, restored it and placed the new Organic Oil Mill.
We lavish care on each step of the growing, production ans bottling process and you can taste the difference. We also reuse all the wasting material during the process and produce clean energy (solar panels). Thus you can buy the best quality organic extra virgin olive oil but also the more efficient and “clean” process.
